Lectio Divina...

Today is the begining of term 3, I learnt about Lectio Divina in Religious Education.

Lectio Divina is a type of traditional prayer.

Lectio Divina is a prayer for reading.

This is a new way of praying for me, I also would like to do it more often.

Dear God,

Please help me to forgive others as you have forgiven me.

In Religious Education today we made a virtue tree by using Google Draw. This was my Virtue tree that I have created. The virtue I chose was FRIENDLINESS.

Report on Jesus getting Baptised.

Sky Opening!

On a calm and sunny afternoon  while Jesus was getting baptised the skies opened an a light was shining down. A dove flew down and stood upon Jesus shoulder. There was a voice that was heard and it said this is my son, whom I love with him I am well pleased. Some people say it was God from heaven and some people say aliens. A friend of Jesus named John the Baptist said it was God from Heaven.

Baptism Of Jesus

This week for Religious Education I drew a picture of Jesus getting Baptised from John at the River Jordan. Also we read a little scripture about John Baptising Jesus at the river Jordan. The scripture was Mark 1 verse 9:11. Also we were talking about the dove coming down representing the Holy Spirit.   

My Reflection Of The Last Sundays Gospel

This morning after prayer’s we were reflecting on the last Sunday gospel. We were talking about the father’s house with our teacher Mrs Tui. She asked us questions like how do we get to the father. In the Gospel they were talking about. Jesus saying “ that I am the way the truth and the light”. I understand that whoever sees Jesus sees the father. The last thing we talked about was Jesus and his journey of life how he showed kindness. We also need to be kind on earth in order to go to the house which the father has prepared for each and every one of us.

Francis was 20 year of age when he went and fight with the Perugia Perugia is the North of Rome.

Physical: Having a healthy body.

Social: Having Family and Friend support you.

Mental: Being able to tell others how you think and feel.

Spiritual well being: For Christians to be able to believe in God and live by the Values.

The Assumption.

We celebrate the Assumption because Mary’s body was taken up to heaven not like us because when we die our soul get taken up to heaven not our body. Some people say that she died then the whole body got taken up to Heaven but other people thought that Mary went to sleep and God took her up to Heaven. Mary’s Heavenly Birthday is on the 15 of August. Pope Pius declared it be true that Mary’s body went up to heaven.  

Worshipping God.

We can worship God in plenty of ways but mostly I worship God by going to church every Sunday.

Some people do the same as me by going to church. How you worship God by going to church is

to have a quite time and to talk to him.

We go to church because we go to sing and worship him and thank him. We also have to do good things not bad things. You could also pray to him to thank him for what he has done or ask him to help you with something you are struggling with in life.

You go to church and you have a seat. You have to obey him mostly have respect for one another especially when you are in church. You have to try and show as much virtues as you can when your in Gods house.   

Forgiveness.

If you broke someone thing and it was there favourite what should you do. The first thing you do is own up and apologize and really mean it also try to fix it. You can try give them one of your favourite thing in return or buy them something.
